soooo after droping andy off at the airport to head off to portugal. i headed to pauls house to hang out.....we ate pizza, drank a beer, and went out to karaoke....which as we walked up to the bar we see this lady who is just drunk out of her mind. i comment on it, and we go inside.
a bit later were out smoking and she moseys on out and were all watching here hoping her boyfriend doesnt let her drive.
all the sudden shes behind the wheel, and i mentioned something about how i wanted to move my car so she didnt hit it. even though it was halfway down the block on the other side from her. she was TRASHED!
well right then she backs up, hits a motorcycle parked behind her, and slams it into the car behind said motorcycle. huge crash! one of pauls buddies runs up banging on the window telling them to stop, because she was just going to take off.
the people inside look utterly confused at why anyone would ask them to stop. honestly...god!
anyway. so the get out, and the lady thinks shes hit someone. people inform her she didnt, and someone went to find the owner of the motorcycle. well insanity insues, the bike is okay-ish, and then the lady starts bawling when the girlfriend of motorcycle owner wants the insurance.....then one of pauls buddies calls the cops because were afraid this lady is going to want to drive again after slamming into things.
all the sudden shes flipping out and beating on her boyfriend screaming "I ALWAYS MAKE IT HOME IVE NEVER NOT MADE IT HOME!" and pounding on him for the keys which he refuses to give her after she wrecks 3 autos.
well the cops pull up as shes beating on this guy, the arrest her after she tries to walk away. then the cops get witnesses etc. i didnt claim to be one because i didnt want to have to drive all the way to san francisco to talk about some idiot drunk lady i saw. so then they end up letting the woman go!
why? i dont fucking know. who lets some drunk asshole who was in an accident whether it be before she got out of her parking space or not, and then was beating on someone go.
oh yes, because the san francisco police department doesnt want to actually work.
in other news i made GREAT time getting home tonight. i wasnt planning on driving home, but pauls roomate has strep and id really like to miss out on that if i could.
p.s. i miss andy. hahah hes not even in europe yet either.

Re: hello!
hah whats funny was yesterday i was wondering if you just thought everyone at the box was just a big bunch of idiots...which a large majority well there atleast fairly close, but to be around that many drunk or tipsy people would make me want to start handing out punches.if you know the artists or any info at all on the print let me know and i can try to see if somehow i could dig up something you havent.

thanks!
The artist is Pierre Lacombe, and the painting was on the cover of Omni magazine in May of 1980 - the prints were for sale about the same time.If you can even find a place that sounds like they might be someone I could point the owner at, that would be great (let *him* do the work, since he won't just quote a price!), but please don't let this make you crazy! I appreciate anything you can figure out, even if it's : "You're S.O.L."

My favorite part of the evening was when the cops pulled me and my friend Colin aside as witnesses, told us to stand on the sidewalk and wait for them, then forgot about us and left 20 minutes later.
Incompetent, overpaid pricks.
